This is our new favorite spot in the Gorge! We can’t say enough about how fantastic these cabins are! From the beautiful and nature inspired decor to the coziness of the cabins to all the wonderful amenities and extras that are provided, they have everything covered! We loved the location as well, very quiet and private yet easily walkable to the Brewery and other spots. Great location for hiking too! This was truly a treat! 5 stars!!

We had an amazing time staying at the Backwoods Cabins this weekend. The cabins are so lovely, you can tell a lot of care went into curating this experience. The restaurant is a short walk from the cabin and there is a general store in front of it with everything you might need during your stay. We greatly enjoyed the fireplace inside and the fireplace outside. It was a wonderful addition to our stay. The bed was incredibly comfy and we struggled to leave it this weekend. The kitchenette had everything you needed for a morning coffee and the hosts provided a variety of snacks, grateful for the microwave popcorn!! Overall these cabins are wonderfully constructed, curated, and a great way to spend a weekend away from the city. We really enjoyed our romantic anniversary by the fire.

The town of Carson is small, but provides great access to hiking, biking and other outdoor activities. We visited Backwoods Brewing and the Backwoods Country Store during our stay. One of us was training for a half-marathon and enjoyed running through the town and out the Wind River Highway past the lumber mill and into the woods. We’ve been to the Gorge many, many times and stayed in several hotels and loads of Airbnbs. These cabins provided by far the coziest and most convenient jumping off point for our adventures.
